In Flight Launches New "PR+" Fine Tuning
& Road Racing Training Program
HOUSTON, Texas (February 9, 2010) -
In Flight Running, a Houston-based run coaching organization,
is offering a new run coaching program called “PR+.”
The purpose of the 12 week, spring program is to help
Houston area runners improve their personal best on
race times at distances ranging from the 5K to half
marathon. On the heels of the 38th running of the
Houston Marathon and Half Marathon in January, the
program will focus on reducing weekly running mileage
and using hill and speed interval workouts, running
drills and core body strengthening to improve running
economy, form, technique and speed. Runners of all
skill levels are welcome.

Houston area Fleet Feet Sports is offering “No Boundaries”,
a 10-12 week training program for beginners hoping
to run or walk a 5K (3.1 mile) race. The purpose
of the program is to introduce participants to the
lifetime fitness activities of running and walking
and to encourage them to live healthier lifestyles.
“No Boundaries” is geared towards walkers or beginner
runners, who are looking to improve their fitness
level, lose weight or get back into shape. The program

Latest Program Sponsor

partnership with one of Houston's original shoe store
chains will supply In Flight Running with a new venue
for member seminars and special events and supply

relationship will also benefit In Flight members by

Dietitian, Catherine Kruppa, Joins In Flight Running
Advisory Board
HOUSTON, Texas (April 14, 2008) -
In Flight Running is pleased to announce to addition
of Catherine Kruppa to their advisory board. Catherine
is a registered, licensed dietitian at The Houstonian
Hotel, Club and Spa and the Director of Nutrition
for US Diving. She specializes in weight management,
sports nutrition, diabetes, eating disorders, heart
disease, and pediatric nutrition. Catherine also gives
weekly nutrition tips on KSBJ 89.3 radio and is the
dietitian for Channel 11’s Great Day Houston show.
She has also presented programs for Channel 13 News
Health Beat, Channel 2 News, and Channel 8 Midday
Show. On a national level, Catherine was the local
dietitian for the Dr. Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Program.
She has competed in 5 triathlons, 11 marathons and
3 ultramarathons. Co-founder and head coach for In
Flight Running, Michael Merlino, is thrilled to have
Catherine on board to provide much needed nutritional
advice to the runners and athletes training with In
Flight Running. "In our opinion Catherine is
