The Pros Need Spring Training. Why Not You?
If you are just starting your running journey, your first step is to build a solid running base. If you have been actively training and running consistent weekly mileage, our Spring Season is also the perfect time to maintain your base or improve upon it to get ready for the major Prime training season ahead. If you recently finished Houston’s hometown Chevron Houston Marathon or Aramco Half Marathon, Springtime is the best time to stay in top shape to improve your race times in the year ahead.
In Flight’s 12-week Spring Season can get your running momentum going with two weekly group runs with Tuesdays interval workouts (track and hills), Saturday morning long runs, and Sunday morning, once a month trail runs at beautiful, nearby parks.
Springtime is also a great time to work on improving your pacing and shorter distance race times at the 5K and 10K level while many are logging lower weekly mileage. Our Spring membership is loaded with a ton of benefits to help maximize your engagement and running improvement.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s included with our Year Pass Membership:
- Runners of all paces & skill levels are welcome!
- Saturday morning, organized, fully-supported long runs. Ice cold Gatorade & water & provided along routes
- Tuesday morning or evening interval training workouts (track and hills) to improve your pacing, running form and help get you race ready
- Sunday morning trail runs once a month at nearby parks like Huntsville, Stephen F. Austin, Brazos Bend, Lake Houston, Double Lake and Seabrook/Kemah
- Free parking at all of our group run home base meet-up locations
- Online training schedules for any race and distance from 5K to marathon accessible from a smartphone app
- Full access to Head Coach Michael Merlino at group runs and via email, phone or video conference calls
- Access to live and on-demand running webcasts with Coach Michael and guests to keep you coached up on the fundamentals of the sport
- Access to our new members only area of our website loaded with instructional running & strength training videos
- Access to our members only, private app where coaching tips and race news are posted daily
