Track & Speed Training Workouts
Track interval workouts on a 1/4 mile track are essential for improving speed, turnover, running form and efficiency. Our track/speed workouts are designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced runners with varied workouts for each skill level.

Each workout includes a 1-mile pre-workout warm up (run on your own prior to workout) followed by coached running & bounding drills and an interval workout. Workouts consist of intervals that include 200m, 300m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1200m and 1600m(1 mile) repeats with active or standing recovery between each interval. Each workout lasts around 50 minutes.  Runners are highly encouraged to run an easy .5 to 1-mile cooldown run post workout.

Track workouts are also designed specific to fall or winter races.  For example  we offer a beginner and intermediate/advanced progressive workout schedule for the fall series of marathons during the October – November range (Chicago, New York, Marine Corps, San Antonio etc.) and winter series during the December – February range (Dallas, Houston, Disney, Phoenix, Woodlands, Austin, etc.).

Track workouts are currently held at the Memorial Park running track (across from tennis center) on most Mondays from 5:20 – 6:20 AM.

Marathon Training Options That Include Track Workouts
Track workouts can be bundled along with our Distance marathon/half training programs.  Our Interval 1 and Interval 2 training packages include weekly, supported Saturday long runs and your choice of 1 track (Monday AM) or hill (Wednesday AM) workout per week or both track and hills each week.  If you enroll in Interval 1 or Interval 2, you get a total of 28 weeks of track and/or hill workouts.

Purchase Track/Speed Training Separately
If you don’t have a need for long run or marathon/half training support, you can purchase track workouts separately as a 14 week summer season, 14 week fall season or 28 week combined season as follows:

Choose from one weekly Monday 5:20 AM track workout or Wednesday 5:20 AM hill workout.  You can attend weekly track workouts or alternate between track and hill sessions each week.

2 Workouts Per Week – 28 Weekday Interval Workouts 

Cost: $195.00
Includes one weekly Monday 5:20 AM track workout and one weekly Wednesday 5:20 AM hill workout for our most comprehensive interval training program.

“Fall Interval 1” – Track or Hills – Sep 18th – Dec 20th
1 Workout Per Week – 14 Weekday Interval Workouts
